In 1846 Chikutō published a picture book of flowers and birds entitled Yūsai Gafu (i.e., Yūsai's Picture Album). The book's twenty-one pictures are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Chikutō was influenced by Chinese painting styles and many of the pictures in this book strongly resemble those in the famous Chinese painting manual Jitchikusai Gafu (i.e., Picture Album of the Ten Bamboo Studio).
